Government of Lithuania proposed to stop changing clocks

Lithuanian government handled a proposal to Brussels to stop changing time twice a year in the European Union staying on summer time permanently.

The similar appeal has been also received from the government of Finland and members of the European Parliament.

Transport Minister Rokas Masiulis says staying on summer time across the EU would be “more natural”

However, only four EU states stand for the change, and in order to implement the change a majority would be needed.
